Education

• In 1986 he graduated from Guryev State Pedagogical Institute with the qualification "Teacher of History, Social Studies and Soviet State Law".
• In 2009, in the Dissertation Council of the West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov, he successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences in the specialty 07.00.02 - Domestic History (History of the Republic of Kazakhstan) on the topic "History of the Tarkhanov Institute in Kazakh society (XVIII–XIX centuries)".
• On July 17, 2018, by the decision of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Otegen Ihsanovich Isenov was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty "History".

Work experience

• After graduating from the Bestamak secondary school in the Alginsky district of the Aktobe region, in 1977 he worked as a shepherd at the M. Gorky state farm.
• In 1979-1981 he served in the Soviet Army.
• In 1981 he entered the Faculty of History of the Guryev State Pedagogical Institute.
• In 1986 he graduated from the Pedagogical Institute with the qualification "Teacher of History, Social Science and Soviet State Law".
• From 1986 to 1992, he worked as a teacher at the Guryev Cooperative Technical School (now Atyrau) of the regional Consumer Union.
• From 1992 to 1996 he worked as a teacher at the Atyrau State University named after. H. Dosmukhamedov.
• From 1996 to 2001 worked as a senior researcher at the Research Center. Z. Aldamzharova in Kostanay.
• From 2001 to 2009 Senior Lecturer at the Department of National History of Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov.
• Since 2010, he has been an Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan.
• From September 2013 to January 2014 he was the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan.
• From 2014 to the present, he has been working at the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov (formerly Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute), as a professor at the Department of History of Kazakhstan.

• In 2011, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Issenov O.I. handed a letter of thanks from the akim of the Kostanay region "For contribution to the development of the scientific and innovative potential of the Kostanay region."
• In 2014, the winner of the state grant "The best university teacher – 2014" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• In 2016 - awarded the badge "For merits in the development of Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute"
• In January 2017, the title was awarded and the statuette "Person of 2016 on TV" was awarded.
• In 2019, for his great personal contribution to the development of the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the badge "For merits in the development of the University named after U. Sultangazin".
